Robin Freeman is a native of the Central
Coast of California, a 5th generation
Westerner, and a proud member of District
11, Northern Region.
Commodore Freeman joined the Auxiliary in 1996 after taking a Boating Safety Course and decided that being involved in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary was a great way to make a difference in her community. Robin has served as flotilla, division, and district public education officer, as well as 6 years in the National Education Department as Division Chief- Special Projects, Deputy Chief- Education, and 2 years as Department Chief. In addition, she has served her flotilla as Vice Commander and Commander. She is a plank owner, USCG Station Morro Bay.
Robin is qualified, and active with her flotilla, in public education, operations, communications, public affairs and Coast Guard support. Her awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2), Auxiliary Commendation Medal (4), and other unit, team and individual awards.
Robin and her husband Rick own and operate a small art bronze foundry. They have two grown daughters and 5 grandchildren.
